Assays
A range of assays have been established at Hypoxium, some of which are listed below, along with links to example data. Other assays and variations on these techniques are also available.
- Proliferation Assays
- Colony Forming Assays
- Signal Transduction Assays
- Apoptosis Assays
- Invasion and Migration Assays
- Flow Cytometry
- Combination Assays
Hypoxic Assays
By applying new technologies and know-how to standard protocols, we have developed robust assays that allow compound screening under hypoxic conditions. We are able to tailor assays to be run under oxygen concentrations ranging from 0.1 – 99%, cycling or static, thus mimicking the internal environment of a solid tumor.
Further information on our hypoxic assays can be found here.
Cell Lines
We have a continually growing bank of cancer cell lines including:
- Colon – e.g. HCT116, LoVo
- Lung – e.g. A549, H460
- Glioma – e.g. U87MG, U373MG
- Breast - e.g. SkBr3
- Fibrosarcoma – e.g. HT1080
- Bladder – e.g. RT112
We are able to work with any commercially available cell line. All our cell lines are sourced from reputable suppliers (e.g. ECCAC, ATCC, Cambrex). We are also able to run assays using primary and non-cancerous cell lines such as endothelial cells, fibroblasts and the foetal lung fibroblast cell line MRC-5.
If you are interested in any of the above assays, or would like to discuss your particular requirements, please contact us.
